Pan is a group of people in North Staffordshire working cooperatively to try to make a difference to the way we buy food and to reduce the impact that our day-to-day lives has on our environment.

The group was originally started in 1981 as a way of people clubbing together to buy whole foods together from a wholesaler.

We still buy food together using an online ordering system to make monthly purchases from Suma. However, we now meet regularly and work together on a range of other things including promoting organic food, healthy eating, waste reduction, campaigning for things we think are important and supporting other local community development projects.

Have a look at the links to the left about some of the things we are currently working on.

You can choose to be involved with us at different levels:

  • You could choose just to buy food cooperatively with us
  • You might also want to take part in our other work and meet with us

Either way, we'd be really pleased to get to know you!  Please contact Penny at stokepan AT gmail DOT com for more information.
